TEDxAzadiStreet is an independently organized TEDx event designed to spark meaningful conversations and promote innovative ideas. We gather thought leaders and visionaries who are passionate about addressing societal issues, personal growth, and the future of innovation.
How We Started – TEDxAzadiStreet
In 2021, right after COVID-19, the world felt uncertain. Markets had crashed, social life was at a standstill, and we were just a group of university students—watching TEDx talks online, inspired by TEDxNEDUniversity, and wondering: why don’t we have more of this in Pakistan?
We had no sponsors, no big networks—just an Instagram page and a handful of connections. But we had one thing that mattered: the belief that powerful ideas should be shared, and TEDx should be a norm here.
So, we took the leap. What started as a simple idea soon turned into a movement, making TEDxAzadiStreet a platform for meaningful conversations and fresh perspectives in Pakistan.

Umme Habiba Chhipa is a dynamic leader, digital strategist, and a firm believer in the power of knowledge-sharing. As the CEO of Digital Media Colony, she excels in social media management, PR, and digital marketing, helping brands create impactful digital footprints.
With an MPhil in Educational Leadership and Management, Umme Habiba is dedicated to fostering transformative learning experiences. For over four years, she has independently organized TEDxAzadiStreet, curating thought-provoking talks that challenge perspectives, ignite discussions, and drive social change. Her commitment to meaningful conversations has positioned TEDxAzadiStreet as a thriving platform for spreading innovative ideas and inspiring action.

TEDxAzadiStreet 1.0
Our journey began with TEDxAzadiStreet 1.0 at HEJ Auditorium. Under the theme ‘Embrace, Accept, Uplift’, our inaugural event set the tone by sharing inspiring narratives that broke societal barriers and fostered open dialogue. This milestone laid the foundation for a series of transformative events.
TEDxAzadiStreet 2.0
At TEDxAzadiStreet 2.0, hosted at Bahria Auditorium, presenters delivered powerful stories that reshaped viewpoints on gender equality, mental health, and cultural taboos. This edition emphasized the strength of embracing and empowering one another to build a compassionate, inclusive society.
TEDxAzadiStreet 3.0
Hosted at ICAP Auditorium, TEDxAzadiStreet 3.0 challenged societal norms by encouraging participants to break beyond limiting beliefs. With its theme ‘Liberating Mindsets’, the event reframed attitudes toward success and personal growth, inspiring the audience to question assumptions and embrace new horizons.
TEDxAzadiStreet 4.0
TEDxAzadiStreet 4.0 was held at Yasmin Aqeel Auditorium, Beaconhouse PECHS Campus, building on the success of the previous editions. The event continued its mission to inspire and empower individuals through the theme of Liberating Mindsets. Attendees were treated to a variety of talks from thought leaders, fostering a deeper understanding of societal issues and sparking conversations on how to challenge norms, break stereotypes, and drive meaningful change.
